I have had a love of music form an early age. When i was younger my mum was often heard saying “If the teachers could put Tony’s lessons to music he would be top of the class”
Songs and the words to song just seemed to stick in my head I don’t know why…
If your a person of a serene age we will all remember sitting in our bedrooms listening to Top of the Pop’s or The Chart Rundown and pressing
Rec Play Pause on our Tape Recorder’s. Yes this was me in the late 70’s early 80’s one of my favourite memorys was my dad with his friend sitting in our living room creating mixed tapes that my he would play in his car over and over again. thats where i think i got it from Maybe he had dreams of becoming a DJ too?
About 20 years ago i was asked if i could DJ for a friend’s party in a local Pub in Greenwhich. Up to that point i had only been what you would call a Bedroom DJ so i said yes,
Using home speakers and CD player i started my journey as a Mobile DJ.
After a few months i was being asked to do more Mobile DJ Gig I decided to create a YouTube Channel TheMobileDJ and follow in the trend of the time started to create Giglogs. Lots of DJ at the time were doing this to help share ideas and show what was possible to achieve in different venues. I found myself becoming part of a very interesting and friendly DJ Comunity.
It was at this time i started going to a DJ Expo in Birmingham called BPM a yearly event where DJ’s could get together and play with new equipment and share ideas. This event was very useful for meeting contacts in the industry and networking with other Mobile DJ's, this is where I meet the owner of a internet radio station, and he asked the Question "Have you ever thought of being a radio presenter"
